    Planned Giving Panel Discussion

at the Fall Institute of the

    Salt Lake Estate Planning Council

We will explore the motivations that drive planned giving, the role of values and personal story in planned giving and we hope to learn from our donor panelist how they include family members in their planned giving decision-making and how they’re giving decisions are designed to leave a lasting impact.  Our agenda includes helping attendees understand the dynamics of donor impact.  Our panel will give donors and non-profits time to share insights into planned giving.

    • What is/was the motivation and rationale behind the timing of your planned gift(s)?
    • How do you choose who to leave a planned gift to?
    • What impact do you want your dollars to have?
    • How do you involve family members or others in making planned giving decisions?

Panelists Joanna Johnston, Tax Manager BDO, and Wayne Olsen, Planned Giving Director - Intermountain Health Foundation will be joined by 2 donors to discuss their previous planned gifts and advice for professionals involved in planned giving.
