Donor/Client Perspectives

Panel Discussion

The November 2019 UPGRT program will consist of two topics.  The first topic will address the impact of the new tax laws.  UPGRT Board members Joanna Johnston and Lisa Schneider will moderate this discussion and will explore with luncheon attendees whether or not the new tax laws have changed giving practices for the organizations represented at the luncheon.

The second topic will consist of a three-member panel representing the changing faces of donors and their experiences working with financial advisors and charities.  Eve Mary Verde will introduce this portion of the program and will welcome and introduce the three panelists.  We are in the process of securing these three panelists, one of which we hope will be our own Jessica Nelson!

Each of these panelists are either planned givers currently or are in the process of setting up a planned-giving program through the assistance of professional advisors, including financial planners and estate-planning attorneys.
